The president of the St. Paul(CA-73) Association recently passed
away. The following is a poem written in his honor
by a former
shipmate:
An old friend left the ship today,
his duty tour complete
Served country
well, now on his way
to join in heavens fleet.
Though duties now are something more
than earthly titles give
His conduct on this mortal shore
has shown how all should live.
We bid farewell to you good man
And shed
a final tear
We'll sail ahead as best we can
And always hold you near.
