From Molly Schubert (Dan's wife): "Another
awesome Navy reunion! This is the second one that I have attended with my husband and I really-really look
forward to them. How neat to watch the guys swapping stories. How great to meet all the wives and getting
to know them a little more each year. The final evening with dinner and presentations was so nicely done
both years. And, of course, being able to make it a vacation and attend different attractions in the city
is the icing on the cake. This year, being able to visit the Grand Ole Opry was totally fabulous, along
with seeing the museum with country greats such as Marty Robbins, Patsy Cline, Minnie Pearl, etc. I can
hardly wait for the next one!! Thank you for the opportunity to attend."

REUNION 2007 - NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE 26-29 July Shipmates, the reunion is
now over. We're sorry you couldn't make it! All hands had a great time. Many took the tours of the
town and visited the homes of the rich, famous, and "filthy rich" (as our tour guide put it). The homes
of Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, Ronnie Milsap, Dolly Parton, Ronnie Dunn (of Brooks & Dunn), LeAnn Rimes, Tex &
John Ritter were some of the places we laid our eyes on! Oh yeah, almost forgot - Keith Urban & Nicole Kidman's
joint is none too shabby either! Check it out below.
One family decided to take a short ride north to visit Mammoth Cave. We also enjoyed the Nashville night
life, partaking of some great BBQ at Jacks, downtown on Broadway (the strip of Country Western honky tonks).
Many also enjoyed the lunch cruise on the General Jackson featuring some great food and entertainment. In
the near future we'll have some of the photos up so you can check them out. We had our hospitaility suite stocked
and we had a great time sharing sea stories, reviewing all the photos, cruisebooks, and enjoying the many other sites/sounds
of Nashville! How can I forget the Friday night performance at the Grand Ole Opry. Legendary C&W performers
including Connie Smith, Porter Wagoner, Bill Anderson, Little Jimmie Dickens, and Charlie Pride graced the stage!
The Association also dealt with some important business issues as we elected our new slate of officers for 2007-2009.
Jerry Leatherwood (BT1 85-88) was elected President. E. Scott Ruerup (OS2 73-76) is
the newly elected Vice President. Todd Black (LT 87-90) was elected Secretary. Randy
Groen ( STG2 73-76) was re-elected as Treaurer. Andy Roberts (OS2 81-85) was unanimously reappointed
as TCHVA Historian. Thomas Clark (ETR2 72-75) was appointed as TCHVA Chaplain. Yours truly, Garry
Collins was appointed Storekeeper and will retain the duties of Webmaster, as well.

Reunion 2005 Norfolk, VA The Association held its first reunion July 28-31. Fifty-five
guests attended. We elected officers, accepted the by-laws and enjoyed some great tours! We toured Norfolk's
Waterside, including the Battleship Wisconsin, Nauticus, & MacArthur Mall. TCHVA member CW03 Dave Peterson treated
us to a tour of his ship, USS Donald Cook DDG-75. We enjoyed hours shooting the bull in the Hospitality room and the
event was capped off with a super banquet catered by the Norfolk Sheraton Waterside Hotel. Check out the photos.
